Hall of Heroes Museum Docent
In support of Talladega’s Military and First Responder history museum, provide guest services to museum visitors, assist in special events, and maintain the museum’s internal data management processes.

Greet visitors as they enter the museum.
Direct visitors to other local tourist attractions.
Process donations (both physical museum artifacts like uniforms and badges, and also monetary donations through credit card, PayPal, checks, and Pledge).
Add local veterans to the Hall, including researching the veteran, reviewing any associated documentation about them, editing their photo submissions to fit our format, and invite veterans and their families to our Induction Ceremony every year.
Design a number of marketing material items, such as scavenger hunts, postcards, cards, brochures, event handouts, Christmas ornaments, custom marketing videos, and more.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve both hardware and software issues as the primary technical person on-site.
Also includes tech support for museum board members and their devices, especially with regards to display exhibits elsewhere.
Provide training to board members on daily museum activities, including a series of tutorial training videos.
Organize volunteers to assist with museum activities, such as giving tours, doing physical maintenance on-site, and moving artifacts to various exhibits.
Maintain a tidy space with regular cleaning and maintenance.
